News reaching us today states that seven cryptocurrency entities have been approved by the Thai SEC regulators, of which two others are still undergoing the review processes.
Among them are, Bitcoin Co. Ltd. (BX), Bitkub Online Co. Ltd., Cash2coins Co. Ltd., Group Co. Ltd. (TDAX), and Coin Asset Co. Ltd. In addition to this list, there are two other cryptocurrency dealers, Coins TH Co. Ltd. and Digital Coin Co. Ltd. (ThaiWM). The above listed firms will now be able to legally carryout their duties as a certified cryptocurrency exchange in the country.
However, the firms have patiently waited for this time to come as they continued serving their clients while waiting for their full licencing documents to be issued to them.
On the other hand, the Thai SEC is still reviewing two other digital asset operators whose application has been filed under the Transitional Provisions.
It was announced last week that so many Initial Coin Offering (ICO) issuers showed interest to apply for regulated status in Thailand. 50 projects applied for the same status but only 5 were able to fulfill the conditions laid down by the Countrys SEC.
