The People’s Bank of China’s (PBOC) crypto research arm is hiring blockchain and crypto specialists as the country steps up efforts in developing a digital currency, according to news published on the 10th day of October, via the Bank’s website.
In the announcement, the firm specifically stated that the only needed blockchain/cryptocurrency experts to occupy 4 vacant positions. Another verified source in its report revealed that this is the first time that the research institute has specified applicants need to have knowledge in cryptography.
According to the report published on their website, they are in need of 2 experts/professionals that would handle the data security and chip design department respectively, so as to secure big data platform and a chip processor that would allow crypto transactions.
They also need 2 people who have had experience in economic law and finance field. They specified in the article that these people in this field will be responsible for conducting legal research as well as seeking legal advices from more established firm’s. They didn’t forget to mention that these people must have little knowledge on economic mechanisms, risk management, and policy research related to “legal digital currency.”
It adds that preferred candidates must have at least a master’s degree and include those who have experience in blockchain and big data.
