Bitcoin, currently trading at $6,429 illustrates a sharp 11.3% drop down in price over the past 24 hrs. The digital currency is hardly holding monthly gains, while weekly losses have amounted to around 1 percent by press time.
Ethereum’s loss today amounted to about 15.28% drop in price, bringing its price to as low as $226.
The market cap. tends to showcase a continuous downward trend in price, despite the high expectation of investors and speculators at the moment.
Total crypto market capitalization is just $201 billion at press time, down from yesterday’s high of $240 Billion.
Despite the downward trend, Bitcoin is still seeing a significant growth in terms of dominance over the rest of cryptocurrencies. Going in parallel with the sharp plunge of the markets, Bitcoin’s dominance has significantly increased over a short period of time, up one percent, currently amounting to 54.3 percent. This is the highest point of BTC dominance over the past two weeks.
