The co-founder and president of TenX by name Julian Hosp says he has no doubt whatsoever that Bitcoin would still hit $60k this year. This report was made by CNBC ON Wednesday, July 11th.
Hosp had made this prediction last year December when the leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin soared high to almost $21k. In a recent interview with rising conference in Hong Kong, hosp told squak box co-host that he has no doubts in his prediction. His speech stated thus:
“Back then, December, price was at a $20,000 all-time high. I predicted for 2018, we’re going to see $5,000 and $60,000. So $5,000, we’ve pretty much hit it, so let’s see if we can do the $60,000. I’m still quite confident.”
Bitcoin has not yet fallen below $5k this year, if it does, it will bring it back to its valuation in September 2017. It is still possible that the cryptocurrency might still experience a more bearish downward trend below its lowest for the year 2018 in late June ($5,880)
Hosp’s prediction solemnly depends on if there is a massive positive event in the crypto world but if this doesn’t this year, then the prediction would take a bit longer.
Hosp in his previously said forecast for 2018, talked about the unstable nature of the currency in prices of highs and lows. Meanwhile, other top influencers of the currency like Tom Lee of fundstrat, in an interview sometime last week had to defend his previous prediction that Bitcoin will eventually hit $25k by the end of this year and he also clarified to the public that the more recent prediction of Bitcoin stopping at $22k was never part of what he predicted.
Currently, as at the time of filling this report, BTC was trading at $6,365 which is not in any near the prediction made by these influencers in the crypto community. But as we all know, anything can happen in the crypto world
